Check your sleeping duration if you are obese
Scientists have claimed that obesity and sleeping patterns have correlation. If a person is having less than 6 hours or more than 9 hours of sleep could lead to obesity. It has been found that people who want to stay slim should take at least 8 hours of sleep.
Researchers have found that people who sleep less than the suggested time gained around 2 Kg. of weight and people who slept more gained around 1.58 Kg. of weight.
Scientists have explained that sleeping pattern effects the hormone level which controls appetite and are responsible for feeling full after meals.
They said that optimal sleeping hours is 7-8 hours per night.
Research was conducted at Laval University at Quebec. The study was conducted at 276 Canadian adults between 21 and 64 and were divided into three groups, Average sleepers (7-8 hours), short sleepers (5-6 hours) and long sleepers (9-10 hours). Their fat level was tracked for over six years.
So if you want your weight in control take 7-8 hours of sleep per night, more sleep and short sleep
