Keep check on your cholesterol level

Cholesterol is a waxy substance and is important part of every cell of the body. It is produced naturally by the liver. It helps making vitamin D and creation of some hormones, create bile salts which helps in digestion of fats. Actually our own liver produce enough cholesterol for the body but food containing cholesterol creates access of it in the body which becomes dangerous and create many health problems like heart disease. Extra cholesterol can deposit in the arteries and can lead to blocked arteries. If arteries are blocked then blood supply to the heart gets blocked and heart attack occur. There are two types of cholesterol, one bad cholesterol and second one is good cholesterol. The bad one is known as LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) and good one is known as HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) The bad cholesterol tends to block arteries and good cholesterol helps in cleaning up the bad cholesterol in the arteries. The main source of cholesterol is meat, eggs, milk, cheese and ice

If somebody force you to withdraw money from ATM

Every bank is offering ATM and almost everybody is using it. But what to do if somebody in isolated ATM force you to withdraw money from ATM? Then... If you are ever forced by thief or someone to take out money from ATM then enter your PIN in reverse order. So if your PIN is 1234 , just enter 4321. The ATM will give you your money, but will automatically recognize this as a plea for help and will alert the police unknown to the thief. As per a source this option is in all ATMs but not many people know this. So remember this in future

Motivational Story - The Horse & The Donkey

I got a very motivational story from my friend in my mail, I would like to share it with all of you... Motivational Story - The Horse & The Donkey : Once upon a time there were two cart-horses. They worked together for many years, pulling the cart of a peasant. Over the years, they often argued with each other, complaining that the other was not keeping to its side, or was going just a little too quickly or just a little too slow. One day, one of the two horses suddenly died. The remaining horse was very upset about this. It realized that in all the time that they had worked together, it had not once told the other horse how much it valued its company and its faithful help in pulling the cart. Now the chance was gone forever. The horse also reflected on all the squabbles they had had. It suddenly understood that it need not have taken offence as easily as it had done, that it need not have borne as many grudges, that it could have been less arrogant, in short, it realized that it

India got Independence from United Kingdom on 15 th August 1947 and became a sovereign nation. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru was sworn in as first Prime Minister of India by Lord Mountbatten on 15 th August 1947. His first famous speech was titled "Tryst with Destiny"... "At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance..... We end today a period of ill fortune, and India discovers herself again." Today South Korea will also celebrate its Independence Day (became Independent from Japan in 1945). T

Can't see small font? Try this to view large fonts

I have learnt a very new trick to view website or blogs having very small fonts. This is very helpful specially for Indic fonts ( Hindi, Malyalam, Telugu, Tamil,Kannad) . Most of the Hindi blogs and sites i have visited have so small fonts that it strain our eyes to read, and people with weak eyesight can hardly read it. To view the site or blog in bigger fonts size, just do the following...Just press and hold Control key (Ctrl) and move mouse wheel (Scroll wheel) to and fro to the monitor to increase or decrease the fonts size. It's really very simple. Try it now... and leave comments whether it's wonderful or not.

Formatting and software installation is not difficult

Recently my computer was infected with Trojans and i was unable to do my work.  I had to call my vendor to format and install the necessary software's again. Since the problem of Trojan and virus is permanent so instead of calling my vendor i decided to do it myself.  I inserted the Windows XP installer CD and followed step by step instructions and got it done very easily. I have partitioned my Hard disk in three sections so I was not worried about my important data. I formatted only c:/ drive which was effected with Trojan. Then I installed all the drivers and now my system is working fine.  Earlier I thought that installation need special expertise but I found it very easy. Above all I also saved the installation fees which i would have paid to my vendor. So folks its always good to learn things by doing it yourself than relying on someone else except you need special guidance.
