Keep check on your cholesterol level

Cholesterol is a waxy substance and is important part of every cell of the body. It is produced naturally by the liver. It helps making vitamin D and creation of some hormones, create bile salts which helps in digestion of fats. Actually our own liver produce enough cholesterol for the body but food containing cholesterol creates access of it in the body which becomes dangerous and create many health problems like heart disease. Extra cholesterol can deposit in the arteries and can lead to blocked arteries. If arteries are blocked then blood supply to the heart gets blocked and heart attack occur.

There are two types of cholesterol, one bad cholesterol and second one is good cholesterol. The bad one is known as LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) and good one is known as HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) The bad cholesterol tends to block arteries and good cholesterol helps in cleaning up the bad cholesterol in the arteries.

The main source of cholesterol is meat, eggs, milk, cheese and ice cream etc.

The main cause of high cholesterol can vary from person to person. The main causes are Obesity or over weight, Diet havinf high cholesterol and saturated fats, Heredity, Low physical activity etc.

How to understand the right cholesterol level?
To check cholesterol normally a doctors refers to lipid profile test which shows, LDL, HDL and triglycerides. Triglycerides are also a common type of cholesterol found in diets and blood vessels. In the test if LDL and Triglycerides level are high or HDL level is low then it means you have high risk of heart disease and need to be very cautious and have to control your cholesterol level.

If somebody force you to withdraw money from ATM

Every bank is offering ATM and almost everybody is using it. But what to do if somebody in isolated ATM force you to withdraw money from ATM? Then...
If you are ever forced by thief or someone to take out money from ATM then enter your PIN in reverse order. So if your PIN is 1234 , just enter 4321.

The ATM will give you your money, but will automatically recognize this as a plea for help and will alert the police unknown to the thief.

As per a source this option is in all ATMs but not many people know this. So remember this in future

Motivational Story - The Horse & The Donkey

I got a very motivational story from my friend in my mail, I would like to share it with all of you...

Motivational Story - The Horse & The Donkey:

Once upon a time there were two cart-horses. They worked together for many years, pulling the cart of a peasant. Over the years, they often argued with each other, complaining that the other was not keeping to its side, or was going just a little too quickly or just a little too slow.

One day, one of the two horses suddenly died.

The remaining horse was very upset about this.

It realized that in all the time that they had worked together, it had not once told the other horse how much it valued its company and its faithful help in pulling the cart. Now the chance was gone forever.

The horse also reflected on all the squabbles they had had. It suddenly understood that it need not have taken offence as easily as it had done, that it need not have borne as many grudges, that it could have been less arrogant, in short, it realized that it had wasted all the energy that had been available for friendship and kindness on unworthy and unnecessary thoughts and emotions.

The horse was ashamed and resolved to lead a different life in future. Whoever its new partner was going to be, things were going to be different.

But time passed, and the horse forgot. One day, it caught itself in exactly the same kind of behavior that it had sworn never to engage in again.

The horse could not understand why it had returned to its old ways.

That evening, in the stable, the horse decided to seek out the peasant"s donkey, which had a reputation for wisdom among the animals.

The donkey listened to the horse"s story. Eventually, it replied. "It is good that you have noticed what has happened. If you truly want to change, this is possible; but it will, for a long time, cost you your peace of mind. Are you prepared to accept this?"

The horse replied that it definitely did not want to return to its old ways. Anything was better than that.

So the donkey continued, "There is one very simple, and at the same time very hard thing that you have to do. Remember every day that one day, perhaps today, perhaps many years from now, you will die.

Remember every day that the horse next to you will die.

Remember every day that every other creature you will see, will on day die.

Remember that all animals alive today are part of a wave, which will soon break and be lost on the beach forever, to be followed by a new wave, and another, and another.

No wave is permanent. The only thing that is permanent is the ocean."

There were tears in the horse"s eyes.

The donkey continued, "Only if you remember death will you become strong-willed and alert enough not to postpone love. This is my advice to you, and in following it, perhaps one day you may come to know that which is deathless."

15th August: India celebrating Independence Day

Today is Independence Day! India will be celebrating it's 61st Independence day. Independence day is a celebration commemorating the anniversary of the nation's assumption of independent statehood after ceasing to a colony or part of other state. India got Independence from United Kingdom on 15th August 1947 and became a sovereign nation. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru was sworn in as first Prime Minister of India by Lord Mountbatten on 15th August 1947. His first famous speech was titled "Tryst with Destiny"...
"At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance..... We end today a period of ill fortune, and India discovers herself again."
Today South Korea will also celebrate its Independence Day (became Independent from Japan in 1945). This day is a National Holiday for Indian's.

The main celebration of Independence day takes place at Red Fort, New Delhi, where Prime Minister of India hoists national Flag and delivers a nationally televised speech from it's ramparts. I wish all the people of India (as well as South Korea) a very Happy Independence Day!

Can't see small font? Try this to view large fonts

I have learnt a very new trick to view website or blogs having very small fonts. This is very helpful specially for Indic fonts ( Hindi, Malyalam, Telugu, Tamil,Kannad) . Most of the Hindi blogs and sites i have visited have so small fonts that it strain our eyes to read, and people with weak eyesight can hardly read it. To view the site or blog in bigger fonts size, just do the following...Just press and hold Control key (Ctrl) and move mouse wheel (Scroll wheel) to and fro to the monitor to increase or decrease the fonts size. It's really very simple. Try it now... and leave comments whether it's wonderful or not.

Large Hadron Collider Machine: Will earth finish?

10,000 scientist have been working since 14 years on a project. Around 6 billion dollars have been spent to experiment the model of the origin of earth. Scientist have made a machine 'Large Hadron Collider' which is going to start on 10th September. This machine will create a micro black hole and if black holes get loose then it may consume our planet earth from within and eventually moving on to destroy the solar system. On 10th September the machine will start... and if something goes wrong...our earth may finish.

As per news channel in India 7 cases have been filed to stop this experiment for the safety of the earth.

European Organization of Nuclear Research (CERN) has built LHC (Large Hadron Collider) which was started in 1995 and lies at the border of France and Switzerland near Geneva. It will become world's largest and highest energy particle accelerator. LHC is being funded and built by the help of 10,000 scientists, physicist from 34 countries as well as hundreds of universities and laboratories of the world.

When activated, it is theorized that the collider will produce the elusive Higgs boson, the observation of which could confirm the predictions and "missing links" in the Standard Model of physics and could explain how other elementary particles acquire properties such as mass. The verification of the existence of the Higgs boson would be a significant step in the search for a Grand Unified Theory, which seeks to unify three of the four known fundamental forces: electromagnetism, the strong nuclear force and the weak nuclear force, leaving out only gravity. The Higgs boson may also help to explain why gravitation is so weak compared to the other three forces. In addition to the Higgs boson, other theorized novel particles that might be produced, and for which searches are planned, include strangelets, micro black holes, magnetic monopoles and supersymmetric particles.

There will be one of the greatest test of a kind....there are several safety issues yet to be answered... let's wait and watch.

Formatting and software installation is not difficult

Recently my computer was infected with Trojans and i was unable to do my work. I had to call my vendor to format and install the necessary software's again. Since the problem of Trojan and virus is permanent so instead of calling my vendor i decided to do it myself. I inserted the Windows XP installer CD and followed step by step instructions and got it done very easily. I have partitioned my Hard disk in three sections so i was not worried about my important data. I formatted only c:/ drive which was effected with Trojan. Then i installed all the drivers and now my system is working fine. Earlier I thought that installation need special expertise but i found it very easy. Above all i also saved the installation fees which i would have paid to my vendor. So folks its always good to learn thing by doing it yourself than relying on someone else except you need special guidance.
