Microwave Recipe: Rasam, a south Indian Dish Tomato Rasam is a very delicious south Indian dish. It's recipe to prepare in microwave is as follows:

Ingredients:

Tomatoes 3-4 nos.
Water 5 cup
Garlic cloves 5-6 flakes
Pepper corn 5-6 nos.
Salt to taste
Water 1 cup
Tamarind 50 gms
Rasam Powder 2 tsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Dry red chillies 3-4
Curry leaves 5-6 nos.

Method:

Place tomato, garlic and pepper corn with water in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave it for 5 minutes, strain and keep it aside. Microwave the tamarind in one cup of water for 5 minutes. Allow it to cool. Strain and retain the extract, pour it in tomato juice. Now heat oil in a microwave safe bowl for one minute and add mustard seeds, dry red chillies, curry leaves and microwave on 80 % power for 2 minutes. Add the strained tamarind extract to it. Add Rasam powder, salt and mix it well. Microwave it for 5 minutes. Stir well and it is ready to serve. Serve hot.
