Broadband Plug & Play Internet PC at Rs. 8000/-

If you don't want to spend much on buying a computer system for Internet browsing or you are going to buy a new computer for broadband Internet access then there is a good news for you! 

Bharti Airtel, India's No. 1 private telecom operator has announced to launch Plug and play Net PC at just Rs. 7999/- Airtel Net PC is a plug and play online computer which includes 15-inch LCD monitor, mouse, keyboard and a Nivio companion which connects to the Linux run servers for storage and applications.

Airtel has priced this Net PC at Rs. 7999/- If the customer don't want LCD monitor then the price will be 4999/- The Airtel Net PC will initially be available at Next Electronic Stores and Airtel stores in Gurgaon, Delhi and Noida. 

The Microsoft and Nivio powered online Net PC is primarily designed personal computing and small businesses. The positive aspect is that it ha very low cost, handy, light weight, supports Linux, Windows, consumes only 5-10 watts of electricity but there are limitations too. One cannot install any software or applications or play online games. It also does not have hard disk to save your data or disk drive to access your personal data and no slot for any hardware extensions.

 Airtel will be providing free 10 GB online storage space on its own servers to save documents, photos etc, so you will have to save all your files online which you can access from any part of the world. According to news sources the price of Net PC after installation and taxes will come around 9000/-. Software and maintenance will be provided by Nivio. Users need not to worry about viruses, security or crashes. The Airtel Net PC will soon be available in other metros and 25 towns.
