Nokia has launched several new mobile phone models recently. I was also in the mood to buy one new multimedia handset. I started searching mobiles phone models and prices on the net but was surprised to note that the prices claimed by shopping websites was much more than the nokia recommended price or that with the price in the local market. The Nokia recommended price of Nokia 7230 model is 5999/- whereas www(dot)jagranshop(dot)com is selling it at 7990/- and the retailer in my area are selling the same model at Rs. 5790 only. Rediff shopping site has several sellers selling the same in the price range of 6490 to 6990/- This is only one example, there are much more price difference on several high-end mobile phone models of various brands like Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony etc. I finally decided to stay away from shopping website specially if one has to buy mobile phone, as the prices online are very high than local market. I suggest all my blog readers to check very carefully the prices o...

Recently while deleting unnecessary posts from one of my blog i accidentally deleted all my posts. There was no undo button to restore deleted posts which were deleted permanently. I was feeling very much sorry about it and started to think how to recover my blog posts and comments back. I visited google help forums and googled about it but got nothing useful. Forums suggested to recover older posts from googles cache but could recover only one or two posts. Then suddenly i got reminded that i have saved backup of my complete blog couple of days back in xml format through the feature of  blogger export import blog option. I imported the same xml file and my full blog was restored in seconds. I felt relaxed and patted myself for keeping blog backup through the export import feature of blogger to my computer hard drive. So i would suggest all blogger users to keep saving a backup of your blog so that if accidentally you delete your blog then recovering and restoring your blog will...

According to astronomers and research scientist, the most significant total solar eclipse of the century is falling on Wednesday July 22, 2009. Scientists and astronomers around the world are preparing to study the solar eclipse specially the study of shadow bands. Shadow bands are thin wavy lines of alternating light and dark that can be seen moving and undulating in parallel on plain-coloured surfaces immediately before and after a total solar eclipse. However, a new theory has been put forward by Dr. Stuart Eves, who works for Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL), that shadow bands might actually be caused by infrasound, which involves the shadow of the moon travelling at supersonic speed which in turn produces high frequency sound that humans can't hear and because of this, creates a shockwave in front of the shadow, which causes shadow bands. 'Maitri' the Indian astronomy station at Antarctica got the first chance to study shadaow bands for the first time on Nov...

The Chains of Belief: A Powerful Story That Will Change How You See Your Limits Sometimes, the biggest obstacles in our lives are not real. They don’t exist in the outside world. They exist inside our minds . This is a short but deeply powerful story about belief, failure, and how we unknowingly trap ourselves — even when we are strong enough to be free. The Day I Saw the Elephants A few years ago, I visited a circus while travelling. I wasn’t particularly interested in the shows. What caught my attention was something much simpler — a group of elephants standing quietly near the entrance. They were huge. Massive. Powerful. Creatures that could easily uproot trees. But something about them felt strange. A Strange Sight Each elephant was tied by just a small rope around one of its front legs. No cages. No iron chains. No guards. Just a thin rope. I stood there, confused. These animals were strong enough to break free in seconds. One gentle pull and they could walk aw...
