Microwave Recipe: Paneer (Cheese) Makhani

Microwave Recipe: Paneer (Cheese) Makhani: A delicious Indian vegetarian curry.

Indredients:
  • Paneer (Cheese) cubes - 300 gm
  • Large tomatoes - 500 gm chopped
  • Butter( Makhan)/Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • illaichi (Green Cardamoms seeds) - 2 nos.
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Tomato Ketchup - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Kasoori methi (Fenugreek leaves) - 2 tsp
  • Cashewnuts - 4 tbsp soaked in water and ground to a paste
  • Cream - 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Take a deep microwave safe dish, Put tomatoes and ginger with 1/2 cup water and microwave for 5 minutes.
  • Blend tomato and ginger in a mixer and make puree.
  • Microwave butter/ ghee and oil for 2 minutes and add cardamom powder. Mix it. Add sugar, salt, chilli powder, and garam masala and mix well. Mix tomato ketchup and puree and microwave for 8 minutes. Stir once in between.
  • Add cashewnuts paste and fenugreek leaves with 1/2 cup water and mix it well. Microwave for 3 minutes.
  • Mix cheese (Paneer) cubes. Add milk to make a thick gravy. Mix it properly and microwave for 3 minutes.
  • Add cream and sprinkle fenugreek leaves and its ready to serve. Serve Hot.
