Microwave Recipe: Indian Curry- Palak Paneer

The combination of Palak (Spinach) and Paneer (cheese) makes a delicious curry. Palak is a seasonal item and easily available. The combination of palak and paneer makes it healthier and tastier curry. Here is the recipe to prepare in microwave:

  • Paneer (cheese) 250 gm cut into cubes
  • Palak (Spinach) 700 gm
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seed(jeera) 1 tsp
  • Garlic 5 flakes
  • Ginger 1/2 " piece
  • Onions 2 nos. chopped
  • Green chilli 1 chopped
  • Coriander (Dhania) powder 2 tsp
  • Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
  • Tomatoes 2 nos. chopped
  • Fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) 2 tbsp
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar 1/4 tsp
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Salt - to taste
Preparation Method:
  • Take deep microwave safe bowl and put oil, onions, ginger, garlic, cumins seeds, green chillies, dhania powder and garam masala. Mix all and microwave it for 5 minutes.
  • Add kasoori methi and chopped tomatoes and mix it well. Then add washed spinach leaves and microwave it for 8 minutes.
  • When cool add 1/2 cup water and blend it well.
  • Now put this puree in the same microwave safe dish and add cheese, butter, salt, chilli powder, milk, sugar and 1/4 cup water.
  • Mix well and microwave for 5 minutes.
  • Now the delicious curry is ready to serve. Serve hot with roti's or parathaas.
