Microwave Recipe: Mexican Hot Chocolate

Here is a very good hot drink one can enjoy specially in chilly winters :-)


1/2 cup chocolate pieces,

1/2 cup water,

1 tbsp instant coffee,

1/2 tsp vanilla flavour,

1/4 tsp ground Cinnamon,

2-1/2 cup milk,

sugar (optional)


1. Take a big microwave safe deep dish, add chocolate, coffee, 1/2 cup water and microwave it for 4-5 minutes at 100% micro power. Stir once in between.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients. Stir it thoroughly. Microwave at 80% power for 6-7 minutes. Stir in between.

3. Add sugar as desired.

4. Serve hot.

If you like you can add a pinch of chilly powder

Microwave Recipe: Sweet Rice - A Punjabi Sweet Dish

Here is the favorite Punjabi Dish Sweet Rice. Very delicious one...


One Cup Basmati Rice,

2 Cups of water,

3/4 cup sugar,

One tbsp ghee,

One tbsp Kishmish (Raisins),

One tbsp blanched almonds (badaam),

Two pcs of elaichi ( cardamoms),

A pinch of Kesar (saffron),

A pinch of yellow colour,


Clean the rice wash in the water and soak it for 15-20 minutes.

In a microwave safe bowl, add soaked rice, 2 cups of water, sugar, ghee, cardamom and yellow colour. Microwave it covered at 100% power for 10-11 minutes. Stir it in between.

Add saffron, almonds and raisins. Microwave covered at 60% power for 9-10 minutes. Stir in between.

Allow standing time of 5 minutes.

Garnish with fresh fruits and dry fruits of your choice. Serve hot.

Microwave Recipe: Tomato Soup

Tomato Soup: Soup are very good as starters. Learn how to make it in microwave >


Fresh Tomatoes 400 gms

Carrot 1 nos.
Potato 1 nos.
Water 5 cups
Butter 1 tbsp
Onion 1 medium
Garlic cloves 3-4
Cloves 2-3 pcs
Pepper corn powder 1/2 tsp
Cinamom powder 1/4 tsp
Sugar 2 tsp
Corn flour 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Cream 6 tbsp


Take a microwave safe bowl, add all the ingredients except corn flour and butter. Microwave it for 10 minutes. Grind the remains in a blender and pass it through a sieve. Keep the soup in the microwave and boil for 6-8 minutes. Add corn flour dissolve in a half a cup of water. Add salt, pepper, sugar and microwave it on 80% power for 10minutes. Serve hot garnished with few croutons and a swirl of cream.
